In this article we will talk about 3 life lessons that you must teach yourself and your children. So let’s start with this question… Why is it important that you teach these 3 life lessons that you’re about to receive?

One of the reasons why is because you love yourself and your children. Because of this, you would want the best life you and they can possibly have.

The problem nowadays is that many of us grow up without being guided properly. So this this case, what happens when the unexpected trials and tribulations come? Often, we simply don’t know what to do. We tend to get confused and overwhelmed by the situation.

And then, we start making more and more bad decisions, or lots of mistakes. As a result, these setbacks make us think and believe that we are not worthy of success. And eventually, this degrading belief becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

So now, let us talk about how we can avoid and overcome that hopeless situation.

Lesson 1 – Failure is a Learning Process and not the End of the World

When we we’re born we had no knowledge and we didn’t know what to expect out life. What we know is that we need to eat, sleep, go to the bathroom and do what we enjoy doing. But the reality is we will not remain that way. Time will pass and we will no longer be babies and children. Soon we would face adulthood. And with it, we will face the reality of life.

Time will come and our dreams in life will inspire us to try to achieve great things. But then here comes the reality stepping in our way. We start to face failure and disappointments in life. What do we do?

Well, unless you are gifted with spiritual and mental maturity, what would usually happen is our minds will experience the sense of hopelessness, disappointments and fear of failure. These things may cause us to fear trying again.

But that’s just an example of a confused mentality. Now let’s talk about another way to see failure. Although failure may seem like a bad news, the reality is that, It doesn’t have to be that way. We can also see it in a positive light. And this will give us different experience and result.

How do you do it? Train yourself to see failures in life as a process and not an end. When you have done this for many years, you will not easily be defeated by your negative thoughts and emotions. Even if you fail on your dreams you will find another way to get there. And eventually, you will.

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” – Matthew 7:7

Lesson 2 – Humble Yourself and Learn from Your Mistakes

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding”

– Proverbs 3:5

What is this about?

Because of our natural desire to be acknowledged that our opinions are correct, we can’t help but always rely on our own understanding. This happens especially, once we have experience greater achievements in life.

From our achievements and things that we now know, we draw confidence and inner strength. This may likely to cause us to say things in a more confident manner and even project it with great certainty. Although, this is the case, it does not mean we are always right.

When things have gone amiss in our lives because of the mistakes that we make, what we need to do is to reflect on what we’ve done and humble ourselves. There is no sense placing your hand on fire after its been burnt.

Now, how will humbling ourselves benefit us? It can benefit us by saving us from the seemingly endless cycle of troubles caused by our mistakes. Teaching ourselves and our children to humble themselves will save us from troubles that we have the option to avoid.

With that, I will leave you with a quote from Dr. Albert Einstien he said,

“Problems cannot be solved with the same mindset that created them.”

Lesson 3 – Choose Your Friends Wisely

“Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.”

-Proverbs 13:20

What is this about? Choosing the right friends and avoiding the wrong ones is one of the most important lesson in life. The reason why is because our minds are like a sponge. It’s always ready to absorb information from many different sources. The problem is that, it cannot be controlled, however, it can be directed.

As long as our senses are functioning properly the learning continues. It does not matter whether the information is going to be detrimental or bad for our welfare, or good for us, our mind will absorb these information all the same.

Having friends that have mediocre or poor mentality will cause you to have mediocre or poor mentality. However, if you choose to have friends who are wise and always trying to improve themselves and the quality of their lives, then the same thing will happen to you. A

long the way in your life you will subconsciously choose decisions base on the information stored in your subconscious mind. That is how we make decisions. So choose your friends wisely. If you want a successful, happy and peaceful life, then start making the effort to hang around with those kinds of people.

But what if you can’t seem to find friends that think and live the way you want to live? What you need to do now is to simply find books, movies and audiobooks created by people who empowers you. So don’t limit yourself with who you can be friends with, this is not about the people, its about the information they provide for you.
