If you’re not convince this is the time to test depression. The problem is, we are not always able to prevent this thing from happening. Depending on how busy you are or what challenges you face in your life. Sometimes it’s much easier, but sometimes there is so much crazy stuff happening in life that it makes it so much easier to be overwhelmed.

Fortunately, it is not the end of the world. Even thought inside our depression minds it may seem like it is. So what do we do then? I suggest you try these  3 Counter Measure Habits for Depression.

Progressive Exercise

Notice that I said “Progressive”. What do I mean by that? Well, you may be or may not be the type of person who is a big fan of going to the gym, but at some level you understand its psychological benefits towards depression.. And now you’ve decided you want to give it a shot. Great! Because guess what?  You don’t have to be a bodybuilder, you don’t have to be a runner. And you don’t even have to like exercise in the beginning, but you will still experience result.

What you need is constant small actions towards exercise. Although, small effort it doesn’t mean there’s no benefits or result. Small steps will later on make a huge difference. Exercise in truth is can be uncomfortable. But that’s okay. With progressive exercise you only start little by little. Which also means, do what you feel comfortable doing and progress from there.

Once you start seeing good result, I promise you that your mindset or the way you look at exercise will not be the same. It will be better. You will finally see that It will not only make you look good but it will also make you feel good. What experts usually recommend is regular cardiovascular exercise. Or running, whatever you want to call it. It’s good. Do it.

Allow Curiosity

Another habit that you should embrace is to grow curiosity about what’s good to eat. Just think about it… who are the people who are not even curious about what they need to eat to feel better? That’s right… they are the people who don’t care enough about their health. Those are the people who have not yet learned how to appreciate their body or good health or life itself. It’s not worth being like that.

But you are different. You care about your mental health. You want to feel amazing. And one of the things that will help you eliminate depression is simply be curious. Allow curiosity to run the game. How do you do it? Ask questions…

How do I feel right now? And what can I do or eat to feel better?  Where do I need to look for these essential information? Who do I ask for help? Start using the internet for good use, to answer valuable questions. In other words, do the best you can to not be immobilized by depression. Don’t just lie in bed all day. Do something.

Avoid Depressing Triggers

Alright, this one is a major countermeasure. This may not mean anything to you right now, but I can tell you that, if you keep going to places and keep doing things that make you depression, then you are going to be depress. The main reasons why you feel depress is psychological. You may have chemical imbalance in your brain, which cause you to feel depress, but it’s not always the root cause of the problem.

Sometimes, the root cause of depression is from the decisions that you make. What what likely are these decisions? I’m going to give you some examples. There are people who have anxiety, which means they have severe fear reactions. But instead of watching movies that are happy or funny what they choose to watch are horror movies. Which is totally a wonderful choice for increasing anxiety. It doesn’t make sense making this choice if your goal is to avoid anxiety attacks.

So the best way is to just simply avoid, places, movies, videos, people, books, musics, radio stations that do trigger your depression. I know that it’s not always possible, but at least you try. And that’s going to take you half way towards preventing depression.
